The 21st Laugavegur Ultra Marathon will take place on Saturday July 15th 2017. Registration will start on January 11th 2017 and will be open until June 30th unless the race will be fully booked before that date. In 2016 the race was fully booked in March. Information about entry fee and other practical things are in the process of being updated.
The Laugavegur course takes runners through areas of outstanding natural beauty at the same time as being a challenging course. The course is multi-terrain; sand, gravel, grass, snow, ice, rivers and streams. Hikers normally cover this distance in four days.
With good training and the right preperation the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon can be one of the runners most enjoyable races. Please note that there are time limits so it is very important to be well prepered.
