Program 2018

The program for the 2018 Laugavegur Ultra Marathon

Participants must pick up their race package on the 12th or the 13th of July. For further information click here.

The race starts in Landmannalaugar, on Saturday, July 14th at 9:00 and ends in Husadalur in Thorsmork. Click here for information about how to get there.

For security reasons, all participants must wear the race number at all times above their waistline and in front. A part of the race number will be torn off when entering your color group by the start line and again by the hut at Alftavatn and the hut at Emstrur.

There are four start groups and the color of a runner's race number indicates the start group. This is done to prevent congestion at the start of the race and to ensure that minimal time elapses before runners cross the start line. By doing this, we hope to improve the accuracy of finish times and to reduce congestion both at the beginning of the race where the path is narrow and also at the drink stations along the course.
