You can share your collection site on facebook or twitter to encourage friends and family to donate. Click here if you want to run for a good cause.
You can choose between several Icelandic charity organizations. Note that many of the Icelandic charities are part of international charity organizations. Click here to find a list of registered charity organizations.
Simple to make a donation
Anyone can go to hlaupastyrkur.is and make a donation to a registered runner in the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon. You can make the donation via credit card or an SMS text message (Icelandic telephone numbers only).
All runners that are collecting donations for a charity via hlaupastyrkur.is can form a running team where co-workers, friends, and families or other groups can collect donations together. Runners are registered as individuals but can tag themselves together in a running team that has a page where the team can post their photos, collection goal and reasons for participation.
