Registering online is always cheaper than doing it on race day.

Online registration ends on the 19th of June 2019. Please note that there are no refunds and it is not possible to defer entries to other events.

Participation prizes

All the runners who finish the race will receive a medal if they choose so in the registration process. If you choose to receive a prize medal the entry fee will be 500 ISK higher.


Online registration requires credit card payment. Registration will only go through if the registration fee is paid. See further information about the registration process here.

Under no circumstances will registration fees be refunded but we offer people to do a distance or a name change by logging into 'your page' while online registration is open. Name changes are not allowed at the number pickup.

The Reykjavik Sports Union was established in 1944 and is the association of sports clubs in Reykjavik. The Reykjavik Sports Union organizes six sports events every year: Íslandsbanki Reykjavík Marathon in August, Laugavegur Ultra Marathon in July, Suzuki Midnight Sun Run and Tour of Reykjavik in June, Northern Lights Run, powered by Orkusalan in February and Reykjavik International Games in January.
