The 2016 Suzuki Midnight Sun Run takes place tonight on Thursday June 23rd. On-line registration for the race is now closed but registration will be possible today in Laugardalsholl (big white sports hall), Engjavegur 8, 104 Reykjavik from 16:00 until no later than 45 minutes before the start of each race. Registered runners have to pick up their registration package (number, chip, etc.) at same place. See location here on a map.
The start times for tonight are following:
21:20 Half marathon starts
21:50 5 km race starts
22:00 10 km race starts

Prizes will be handed out at the finishing area by the old laundry springs. The prizes are given by Suzuki, Camelbak, Under Armour, Powerade and Reykjavik Marathon. See map of finish and start area here.
Free admittance to one of the geothermal baths and pools in Reykjavik, Laugardalslaug swimming pool, is included in the entry fee. Runners will find a ticket for the swimming pool in their registration package. The ticket is only valid on June 23rd. Participants can enter the pool until 00:30 and it will be open until 01:00.

The 24th Suzuki Midnight Sun Run will take place on Thursday June 23rd 2016. On-line registration for the race is open here at marathon.is but ends at midnight on Wednesday June 22nd. Runners are encouraged to register on-line because the entry fee is higher if registered on race day.
The Suzuki Midnight Sun Run has three distances:
Half marathon - starts at 21:20
10 km - starts at 22:00
5 km - starts at 21:50
After the race all participants are invited free of charge to Laugardalslaug geothermal pool. It is a perfect place to relax after a good race in the bright summer night.
